Obituary of Mary Paula Schmidt

Schmidt, Mary Paula – Passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the age of 92 years.  Devoted and beloved wife of the late Henry J. Schmidt (1998).  She will be sadly missed by her Sister, Helen Andres (Bethany Lodge, Unionville) and her nieces Marianne (Trevor) Wagstaff, North Devon, England and Lillian (Dennis) Langfried of Richmond Hill, Ontario. Dear Aunt of the late Amanda Pirson. Grand Aunt of Carolyn Dodwell, Duncan Wagstaff, Daniel Langfried, and Allison Langfried. Cousin, Sister-in-Law and Aunt to many other family relatives.  Both Mary Paula and husband Henry had been longtime active members of Calvary Church in St. Catharines. Aunt Mary’s strong Christian faith was visibly portrayed throughout her life. Her loving, gentle, kind, and caring nature touched all those who knew her.  

Friends will be received at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St, on Thursday, September 20^th 7-9 pm.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 21^st at 11:00 am with reception to follow in the Tallman Fireside Room.  Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.  If desired, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Markham Stouffville Hospital or a charity of choice.
