Obituary of William Roy Houtby

Houtby, William Roy – At the United Mennonite Home in Vineland on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, Bill Houtby of St. Catharines aged 92 years.  Beloved husband of Iris for 69 years.  Devoted father of Roy (Linda Taylor), Wayne (Catharina), Janette (Graham) Parsons and Ruth.  Beloved and devoted grandfather of Jennifer (Rick), Joanne (Steve),Brad (Michelle), Greg, Adam (Laurie), Scott (Morgan), Alexandra (Dan) and Matthew.  Also survived by 12 great grandchildren and a brother Walter Houtby.  He was the sales manager at National Grocers for 42 years.  He was a lifetime member and elder at West St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, an avid golfer, bowler and fastball player. 

The family will receive friends at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., on Thursday, October 11 from 6 – 8 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held at West St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 42 Pelham Rd, St. Catharines on Friday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.  If desired, donations to the Church would be appreciated.
