So sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. He was very warm hearted and funny, always had a joke up his sleeve. Have many happy memories of working with Ernie in Accounts Payable at GM. One thing that always reminds me of him is every time I make "Cherry Pizza". This is a special recipe of Diane's that he would bring into work. I make it often and every time I think back to the good ole days at GM. Take care, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Janet

He was a wonderful guy. I'm going to miss him. More than all the laughs and deeper discussions he and I had at GM and at church, the memory I have which will probably last longest is that of Ernie's handshake. Shaking hands with Ernie was like putting on the most comfortable pair of mitts you could imagine... Goodbye my friend. Well done indeed!

Ernie was the first to welcome me to the Fairview Louth family in 1998. He was a strong leader within the parish and an example to others in living a Christian life. Ernie spoke on my behalf and recommended that I become baptised within the church by water immersion. Every Wednesday evening was devoted to bible study at the Wall's house. He was always available and willing to lend a hand when anyone needed help. God led me to Fairview Louth and I will always appreciate the support that Ernie and Diane extended to my family and I.
My deepest condolences to his family.
