Emma, you were an amazing lady. Visiting with you in St. Catharines and when you came West was a delight. You had such generosity of spirit-- the world has lost one of the rare folks who make life that much richer. You will be missed by the many people whose lives you touched and left better for having known you. Blessings to all of your family and friends who feel your loss deeply.

We wanted to give our heartfelt condolences to the family. She was a very sweet lady.
We were unaware of her passing until today's standard. We were speaking of her at our Christmas dinner. How David and uncle Alan always had found memories of her and Everett and their impact on the family. We have fond memories of her and the stories of Mrs Knapp (As she called aunt gertie) over tea. We assumed she was with you for the winter. Once again our sincere condolences. We have rsvp'd for the spring memorial.

This is a sad day for your family. The Niagara region, however, was shaped in so many ways by Emma, that we can all feel good about her example. Who were we, in the twentieth century? We were the kind of community where Emma Carlson lived.

Hi Carla:
I am so sorry for the loss of your treasure of a mom. While staying at your B&B I enjoyed her company so much! I smile remembering us walking down your lane with Cedar at our side, singing together and eating dandelions. (Which she taught me to do.) John and I had a lovely evening chatting over tea with her as well. She was very proud of you! I regret not going back to look for her.

Dear Carla, my sympathies go out to you and your family. Your mom was a wonderful person and will be very fondly remembered. She'll live on in the memories and hearts of all who knew her. I'm sure you'll miss her, but you'll always have her voice talking to you in your head and heart, I know. We never lose our moms. Wishing you all grace and peace.

Dear Carla
I am so sad to hear about Emma. She was one of the first people I meet in Niagara when I moved here 26 years ago. She was always so happy and enjoyed life to the fullest. I'm sure you will miss her but she left you a life time of wonderful memories.

Carla, so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She sounded like a wonderful lady. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family at this very difficult time. Yes indeed, your blessed Cedar, and your wonderful momma, are together again, most likely romping and playing amongst those peach trees in the sky. Sending warm hugs your way xoxoxoxoxoxo

So many happy times with Emma. Always full of energy & shenanigans. Would be on the dance floor all night, or playing practical jokes. Taking hubby's beer & hiding it lol. Forever in our hearts. Thank you Carla for sharing her with us over the years
