Obituary of Mary Agnes Siemens
Mary Agnes Siemens (nee Neufeld) July 5, 1937 – Nov 12, 2018
It’s with very heavy hearts we share the passing of a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother Mary Siemens. She passed peacefully in the early morning hours of November 12 with her loving family surrounding her. Predeceased by brothers John Neufeld, Henry Neufeld, Rudy Neufeld, Bill Neufeld and sister Anita Shepherd (Neufeld). She was born in Vineland, Ontario to parents William Neufeld and Anna (Willms) Neufeld. She was blessed with many brothers and sisters and leaves behind Art Neufeld, Betty Coplen, Irene Remegio, Erica Hamm (Jake Hamm), cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly with all her heart. In 1957 she married Paul Siemens and moved to Kitchener while he finished his studies at the University of Waterloo. Following graduation, they moved and settled in Toronto where they lived and raised a family, Randy Siemens (Cheryl Siemens), Karen Siemens, Christine Siemens. She was blessed with grandkids, Rachael Flint (Siemens), Loretta Siemens, Kevin Collins, Hannah Collins and Quinn Collins. Further blessings came when she was able to be a great grandmother to Ryenne and Brayden Flint. Mary was a very active member of her community and of her church community with the Toronto United Mennonite Church. Serving others filled her heart with joy, whether it was quilting with the ladies’ group in preparation for an MCC event or raising money in the community to provide programs or events for neighbours.
