I remember Bill from years ago when he attended the Bell Canada picnics. Bill was always up dancing and enjoying himself. For many years I would run into Bill in the Corbloc building and he always remembered me. He was a very sweet man. RIP Bill.

Hi there: when I was a boy at Cedar Springs, Bill Belyea was a big presence at Cedar Springs: winning the slow-bike race at the annual "Sports Day": always hanging out at the pool. He knew everyone, and everyone knew him.
He was someone I always looked back fondly at when recalling growing up at Cedar Springs. Always had a smile, and knew your name.
He was a good, kind and gentle person, and I am sorry for your families loss.
Best,
Joshua Kingsmill

Dear Judy,
There is nothing like the passing of a loved Cedar Springs neighbour to send a flash of childhood and adolescent memories through one's heart and mind. This is exactly what happened to me when I read about Bill in the Hamilton Spectator. As the years have passed it was clear to me that he had a very profound influence on many of us and our own children who grew up in that quiet stream side setting in the woods. I remember Bill golfing, dancing, swimming and of course in his undefeated championship in the Slow Bicycle Race on Sports Day.
I am sorry that I could not make it to Vineland on Saturday. I would have liked to have shared my condolences in person. I am very sorry for your loss and the loss that others in the family and the community must be feeling. My father and mother were both so fond of Bill. He often accompanied your Dad and Mabel when they would come by for the evening or before a dance.
Warm thoughts of sympathy and treasured memories to all of you. Trish(Harrison)

Bill was a lovely person and a real charmer at the skating rink. I enjoyed seeing him around when he was active around town.
