Obituary of Sally Ens

Ens, Sally – Early Sunday morning Dec 2, 2018 Sarah (Sally) Ens went peacefully to be with her Lord, with her children by her side. Sally was born May 3, 1927 in Winnipeg Manitoba to John & Maria (Harms) Heidebrecht, the fourth of five Children. In 1941 the family moved to the Niagara area. Growing up in a home full of music she had a real love for music and singing from the time she was a young girl. She sang in trios, double trios and choirs for many years. Sally became a member of the Vineland M.B. Church in 1943. Then Later that year became a Charter Member of the first M.B. Church in St Catharines. It was there that she met the love of her life Henry and they married in 1950. She graduated from St Catharines Business College and then, as finances necessitated, worked in the office at Wallaces, a downtown fashion store affiliated with Smith Jewellers, where she acquired her love of clothing and fine jewellery. After Wallaces closed down she went to work at FACS in the accounting department and retired from there 11 years later in 1988. Her motto was “Others first” and she followed in her Lord's footsteps in befriending the friendless and caring for the needy. Her family was also very special and important to her, praying daily for them.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Henry, siblings Katie, John, Dave and Abe and her parents John & Maria Heidebrecht.

She is mourned by daughter Eileen & (Stan) Baerg, son Robert & (Namju Back), grand daughters Carolyn (Alex) Krugel, and Kristi (Caleb) MacDonald, four great grandchildren Hannah, Lauren, Eloise and Gavin, her sister in law Susie Heidebrecht and a number of nieces and nephews.
