At this time of year we would traditionally be entering the harvest shortly with weather changing and Opa/Herb Sr. would be preparing the grapes for picking.
I have fond memories of all the sights, sounds and smells on the farm especially the room off the basement with the wine storage/cellar, the small wooden stove downstairs (I was not allowed to touch the poker yet) and the smell of the grapes especially riesling on the vine.
Thank you Opa, we love and miss you and ask you to continue praying for our family and extended family.
