My husband Paul is still very devastated. He worked with Brian for 35 years and were the last two Millwright's to close down the plant in 2012. After a brief taste of retirement they ended up working together at a small shop DMAC in St Thomas for a year or so. They shared many stories, laughs and jokes.
We are very saddened by he lose.

I met Brian through my husband, Chris. Even as we moved away, he was part of our lives - any visit to London, Ont would include a few hours with Brian, with the two of them wandering off down Memory Lane, making their joint past part of mine. His quiet presence and warm baritone voice will be missed.

Brian was my tennis partner for the last few years every Monday evening. He loved to play tennis. He was fortunately much faster than me and often covered for the shots I missed. Occasionally he wouldn't be as fast as usual and I would often learn it was because he had already played tennis for 2 hours earlier that day with a friend who had called and wanted to play. He would never say no except when he couldn't move because of sore joints. Brian didn't mind too much if he lost a match, since he was content just play which suited me just fine. He was a real gentleman and will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

Brian has been a weekly member of my Sunday morning tennis group for the past decade. I have always admired his desire to improve his tennis game, and his passion for the sport. Quiet yet confident, Brian's presence will be sorely missed on the court.

Some things last a long time, but when Brian, Ian and I joined forces in a high school production 50 years ago, none of us could have imagined it would last a lifetime. We were young together and then we scattered across the world. We’ve lived our lives and grown old separately, but we never grew apart.
With apologies to Rupert Brooke,
“Nor ever rest, nor ever lie,
Till, beyond thinking, out of view,
One mote of dust that’s I
Shall meet one atom that was you”

My thoughts are with Brian's family at this difficult time. We worked together for many years and a small group of us celebrated our birthdays together at a local restaurant. Brian, you will be missed from the group of 3.

My condolences to Brian's family at this sad time.
I have fond high school memories of rehearsing a short play for our French class with Brian and Nancy Amos. We laughed much although we had no idea what our lines meant. A joyous memory I've held.
