Obituary of Julius Siemens

Siemens, Julius – Peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday February 3, 2019, in his 92^nd year. Beloved husband of the late Iris Siemens (2015). Cherished father of Sandra (Frank) Hilton. Devoted friend of Marie Muir. Survived by his brother Paul Siemens, predeceased by his parents, sister Matilda Epp and brother Victor Siemens.

Julius enjoyed his retirement to the fullest and found his greatest joy outdoors, particularly on the golf course, where he spent many sunny afternoons with friends. God blessed Julius with a sense of humour that endeared those close to him. Over the last ten years although he faced many health challenges, Julius leaned on his faith to carry him through. One of his favourite sayings was “Never give up”.

Cremation. A memorial service will be held at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., on Saturday February 16, 2019 at 11am. A reception will follow in the Tallman Fireside Room.

The family would like to give special thanks to the health care professionals at both Radiant Care – Tabor Manor and the Acute Stroke Unit at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. The care and compassion received made the end of Julius’ journey dignified and peaceful.
