Our deepest sympathies to all the family.
Mrs. Parkes was one of the most kind hearted, sincere and loving ladies that we had the pleasure to know.
We were blessed to have her as a neighbor for over 15 years. She watched our children grow up and had the patience with our dog who always let her know he was watching as she gardened.
She offered kind words and a friendly smile every time we met.
How great that she was able to celebrate her 100th birthday with her family and friends and how fabulous she looked!
May she now continue her wonderful journey in the afterlife with God.
God bless you all,
The McAvoy family.

We were thrilled that Laura reached her 100th birthday in January and were delighted to attend her 100th Birthday Party at St. Alban's in February. She was a faithful prayer partner and a devoted member of St. Matthew's, Islington. Our daughters still remember the sweaters she knitted for them when we first arrived in 1983. We have fond memories of visits at George and Laura's home.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory!
