Obituary of Sydney Ellen Robson

Robson, Sydney Ellen - With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our Mom, Sydney Ellen Robson (nee MacLean) (April 17, 2019) she follows her loving husband Stanley, who passed in January of this year. Predeceased by her parents Ken and Margaret MacLean and Parents in Law James and Edna Robson. She leaves behind daughters, Sheree (Todd) MacNinch and Shawn (Richard) Watson, grandchildren Margaret, Evalyn, Rachel and Trenton. Brother KC (Virginia) MacLean, brother in-law Kel (Mary) Robson, sisters in-law Barb Robson and Karen Mitchinson. Sydney cherished her friends, family, and neighbours especially Kathy Alexander, Barb Robson, Christine Smerdon, and many who loved her. She will be remembered by employees of Pioneer Flower Farms.

Sydney was a woman of boundless energy and believed intensely in the importance of family. She worked tirelessly to provide a home that always held love and laughter. Mom was a very strong and courageous lady, nothing was ever too much for her to take on or complete. She approached her cancer diagnosis with the same tenacity, touching our hearts and raising our spirits as she continued to live as if nothing was wrong.  Her family, friends & cottage were her refuge, she cherished the time she was able to spend with them. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be sorely missed. Sydney was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

The family invites you to celebrate Sydney's life on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Balls Falls Glen Elgin Room from 2-6 pm.  A toast to Sydney will take place at 4:00 pm.  Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
