Marty once told me a story to make me smile,in one of my darkest times. He told me the story of why he got a tattoo of a lizard on his arm. He told me he was having a nap in Cuba and someone woke him up because to lizards were having sex on his head.... weather this is true or not it made me smile that day,and I've never forgotten it. Thank you so much Marty, you always made me laugh. I hope this makes someone else smile. Mark it's going to be hard and it's going to suck, but chin up it what your dad would want. My whole family is thinking of you all, we all thought the world of Marty.

Very sorry Sharon and family. From all of Marty's friends at Barclay Construction, he will be missed -- he was one in a million to us. Marty did not pull any punches at work -- but in spite of the gruff exterior -- he always had the guys backs on site -- and kept all safe during his long watch on hi risk tough projects. It was a pleasure to have been able to work so close with Marty for so long. But two things will always stay with me -- the smart, biting, sarcastic take on life -- more importantly -- the way he talked about Sharon and his family -- a survivor and true champ in our eyes -- will be thinking about this -- best wishes through this hard unfair time.

We have many good memories of Marty especially when we both had cottages at Sauble Beach, When we seen Marty and Sharon walking down the road to our cottage we always knew it was going to be a fun filled night around the fire. I am sure Marty will continue to tease uncle Ross from above. RIP Marty we will miss you.

For over 20 years Marty was like a brother to me. Through the scouting program, the fair booths antics and the many many nights of going for coffees. I am proud to share that Marty and I went fishing many times and not a fish was caught.Marty had the ability to have you guessing if what he said was real or not. He is the only one I know who can bbq a fried egg. The memories will live in my heart and mind for years to come and when the time comes we will meet again and have many laughs. Rest in peace my brother.
