In 1974 I married into the Commisso family here in Beamsville, and was a customer of Vics, when he was here in town. Always respectful, smiling, ready to chat, you will be very missed Vic. May our Lord Bless all of Vics family with cherished memories and happy stories to share, so that his memory will be kept alive. God's Blessings, and our deepest Condolences.

Ruth, Christine, David & families,
Our sincere condolences on the loss of your husband and father. Long before we knew each other’s families, my father, and later myself, were thankful customers of Vic’s shoe repair talents.
Later, as we were together & sharing mutual church activities with our children, it was a pleasure to know Vic and your family on a new level.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Vic and Regina Peters

Our condolence to the Opresnik Family.
Victor was such a nice man. He and Ruth were good friends with Emil and Anne for years. As kids, we have fond memories of going into Victor’s Shoes before every school year and loved when he would laugh and call our dad a cheapskate when he groaned about the bill! Years later around Christmas time it was always fun to stop by the store and join in for good tidings and a little shot of brandy to keep the cold away. Along with our father and some amazing people, Victor loved performing with the Lipa Park Button Box group and we recall him on stage with his trademark smile. Victor and Victor’s shoes will remain in our memories for years to come.

Dear Ruth, Christine, David & family,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of Victor, your loving husband, father &
Opa.
I have fond memories of visiting Victor’s shoe shop with my Dad when I was a young girl. I remember the friendly smile that would greet us , and the idle chit chat that would take place between Ernie & Victor discussing their families or matters of the Town.
I especially remember the smell of leather.
My thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time.

Ruth, Christine, David and family, please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of Victor. I will remember Victor for his smile and friendly demeanour. In discussions with friends, it’s clear many families have fond memories of Victor and buying shoes at Victor's S&R. My father and Victor were good friends for many years, and the store was a regular stop for dad on Saturdays. Dad’s brother was a shoemaker in small town Ontario (Alexandria) so that was a bond they shared. Sorry for your loss, and thanks to Victor for his contributions to Beamsville and area as a top-notch shoemaker and businessman.

Cathy and I would like to express our sympathy and condolences to you Ruth, Christine and David as well as to your partners and families. Victor and Ruth were always wonderful partners in their children’s musical education at BDSS. As their teacher I always felt your support for the program and Christine and David modelled the work ethic, consideration of others, co-operation, conscientiousness, warmth, talent and intellect that their parents modelled for them every day. Most of us can only hope to be remembered the way Victor is. Not only was he an uncommon common man, he truly was a “ good man”. Thank you for sharing him with us.
