Obituary of Clement Joseph Harrisson
Harrisson, Clement Joseph – Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at home, on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the age of 59. Clem will be deeply missed by his wife, Jo-Anne; daughter, Rachelle (Jeremy); son, Matthew (Taylor); step-son, Andrew; step-daughter, Rachel (Chris) and their three children, Jacob, Bryson and Jaxon; siblings Réjean (Raymonde); Rosane (Roger); Lili (Michel); Clarence (Gail); Adorelle; Norman (Jackie) and Michelle (Ron). Predeceased by his father, William (1993); mother, Rachel (2018) and sister Réjeanne (Jerry) (2011). Clem will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Clem was a man of many talents and over the years worked at the Niagara Restaurant Supply, General Motors, Hayes-Dana and as a self-employed upholsterer. He was well known as an outstanding Horologist and turned his hobby of repairing clocks as a young man into a full-time business.
Clem was a gifted singer/songwriter throughout his life. His love of his hometown, Saint-Thomas-de-Cherbourg, in the Gaspé Peninsula, inspired much of his writing. He was honoured to be a member of “Lost and Found”, a spiritual singing group who toured throughout Canada and the United States.
Clem’s hobbies also included his life long dream of flying an ultralight plane where he was able to enjoy the beautiful sights of Niagara.
Clem lived his life loving people and being loved by many. He was genuine, gracious, kind and a man of integrity.
A celebration of Clem’s life will take place at Bled Hall located at 4650 South Service Road in Beamsville, Ontario, on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1:30pm. Visitation will take place after the service (2:30 to 4:00pm). The day will conclude with entertainment provided by Clem’s favourite band, the Mark Lalama Trio.
