I can’t believe it’s already been a year since you left us Donny! It still seems like yesterday! I miss you so very much! Although I was extremely heartbroken that our sweet girl Shiloh left us on June 19th, I was extremely happy to know she is with you again! She missed you very much as well & now you can share cookies & chips again! Please give her a big squeeze for me & I know you will get lots of licks from her! Rest-in-Paradise my dear friend... love you... Sherida xo

So sad to hear of the passing of my dear friend. I've been calling Don "Uncle Don" since I was 18 years old. I'm 49 now. We were very close. My birthday had just passed in December and it was the 1st birthday since I was 18 years old that I didn;t hear from him. I knew then something was seriously wrong. I've been calling and calling, never getting a hold of him. I knew he wasn't well, but it's always a shock to hear the sad news of losing someone so special and dear to my heart.
My condolences to the family members, Don was a very special and wonderful person. He will live on in my heart forever. Hopefully him and Neil are drumming up a storm in Heaven now that they are both gone.
Rest in peace Don. I will miss you.
XOXOX

So sorry to hear about the passing of my friend, Don George. Don and I and four other friends were in a jazz band together at Beamsville Highschool in the mid-60s. We had a lot of fun and made some pretty good music but Don was by far, the best musician in the group. I hadn't seen him for many years but last summer, Dave Banwell (another band-member) and I got to have lunch with Don in Grimsby. We really enjoyed getting together and reminiscing about those Beamsville High days. My most sincere condolences to all of Don's friends and family. He was a great guy whom I shall never forget.

Don and I bonded over the playing and teaching drums, and over Neil Peart. I will forever be grateful for Don’s time and generosity. He is, and forever will be dearly missed!

My sincerest condolences go out to all family and friends. I first met Don at the Guitar Loft and my mom and I would often have a quick conversation with him, while waiting for my brother or sister to be done their lessons. He was the sweetest man and so very talented. He will be missed. Much love and prayers, Eden

Donnie was a big part of my sister Cathy’s life and that’s how I got to know him. He showered her daughter Katie with time, patience and love and was also wonderful to our parents! He loved music, baseball and my sister. He and Cath came down and visited me in Boston one time and I got a call from my upstairs neighbor nervously telling me there was a strange man in our backyard - I looked out the kitchen window and there was Donnie, doing tai chi in the morning sun!!!! He moved to the beat of his own drum. My sincere condolences to his family.

Don was a great man. Any time I spotted him at a store or on the street I always stopped what I was doing and talked with him. I always enjoyed hearing stories of the old days and the new drum equipment he had. Don May have left us but his stories and kindness will always live on in our hearts.

Bonus Dad, Donnie.. He had the ability to make anyone smile. I’ll never forget his silly jokes and his cheeky smile. So unapologetically himself, and that was one of his most beautiful qualities. He was my rock. His love never wavering. He’s the definition of friends turning into family. I was blessed to have him in my life for as long as I did. He did so many amazing things in his lifetime. The goodness, that he instilled in everyone’s life he touched. (much like his mother) .. it didn’t matter if you met him once or had known him a lifetime long. He had that ability to make an impact on everyone he met. He was so loved. He chose kindness first, to all of God’s creatures. He was an all around amazing human, one of the greatest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, & It was really an honour to have him as family.
He didn’t want us blubbering about him, but to celebrate his life.
(That would be GOODER, as he would have said.. which makes me giggle through the tears)
So let us do that.. celebrate his life.. and what an amazing life he had.
Until we meet again in heaven, you’ll live on in our hearts. I love you Donnie.
