A kind, caring and giving person. We have so many memories of Verla as a very active member of St John’s Anglican Church. Working the bazaar, Club of the Twenty, making our beautiful red hangings and so many other things. She was just so special and we shall miss her dearly. Sincere condolences to her family.

It was in the 1960's as principal of Jordan School that I was privileged to get acquainted with Mrs. Clinton where she was a very supportive parent. I believe only Jacky and Jim were students at that time, however I have pleasant memories of the family.

I am so sorry to read of Verla's passing, as she was such a caring person and so kind to me over the years!!! I know how close your were to your Mom, Beth, so my heart goes out to you at this time!!! She was truly a "real lady" and lived a memorable life and would want you to celebrate her life instead of mourning for too long!!! She left a lasting legacy!!!!

Verla and Jack were wonderful neighbours in Jordan Station. When Bob and I moved to Jordan Station they were the first people to knock on our door to see if we needed anything. They made the community a better place to live through their combined volunteering activities. You are both missed.

I so well remember Aunty Verla and enjoyed spending time with her whenever I had the opportunity of visiting in Ontario. Aunty Verla, when all my cousins were much younger, would travel by train with 7 kids in tow, out to Armstrong, BC and spend many summers, staying with Papa (Jack Clinton's father). We were so fortunate to be able to spend this time with cousins and with Aunty Verla. So many wonderful memories. We loved her and will miss her. A life so well lived and a life so well loved. xxxxx
