What a shock. Last November, Gord and I shared a room at the Hamilton hospital during our recovery from our heart surgeries, and we hit it off right away. We had a similar sense of humour and we bantered back and forth the whole time. Gord made my recovery much easier and I’ll miss him. Thanks for the memories Gord, and rest easy my friend. ...Andy Soutar, St. Catharines

Gord was such a lovely man. Answered all my crazy e-mail questions, and I loved our conversations about the US and his dogs (I have a rescue Golden too).
You will be missed.

So sad to hear. Was always a pleasure meeting up with Gord when we would take our dog out for a walk. Gord did a great job on filling out our taxes for us. He will be missed by many people and our neighborhood..

Dear Jane,
We were truly sorry to hear of Gord’s passing. He was such a nice man, and we were so happy to have him handle our taxes, and then my mom’s as well. We hope your good memories will get you through this most difficult time.
Sincerely,
Sandra and Scott.

My deepest condolences Jane and family. Gord was my first manager at Community Living Glengarry when I started about 20 years ago. He was always encouraging me to take on more challenges. I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to work with him. He had a good sense of humour and i have lots of good memories.

Hi Jane: I was saddened when I got my email saying Gord would not be doing income tax returns but much sadder when I read that he had passed away on Friday. Both of you were so efficient doing our returns. Please accept our deepest sympathy in your loss. Jim and Liz Church

Gord was a man who always went the extra mile. He may not have had children of his own but he was like a second father to me. He got me through grade 9 algebra, taught me how to swim and provided me with guidance when my life was at a crossroad. My deepest condolences Jane. He will be missed.
