Celebration of Life is a correct description for the memory of Poppa, Charles James Wilson.
I loved talking old-time stuff with him. Can you imagine the memories he had living through the 1930s, the Great Depression, the Second World War and even the hippie era of the 1960s and 1970s. What a wonderful span of years he experienced. Through all that, he was grounded and a down to earth kind of guy. I'm glad that he kept busy with his art, in cutting and sanding wood, and painting in his later years. What a pleasant man. I'm glad that Madge and Poppa always welcomed me into their Antiques Shop, as a photographer, when I was feeling low, so I could snap a photo or two on a rainy day to pick up my mood. Poppa had a fortunate life, both productive and long. Both my wife and I were blessed to know the man.

A life lived to the fullest.
Charlie loved life with everything he had and it has been clear to see----life truly loved him back.
So giving and creative especially in his aging years--his creativity reflected his deep admiration and care for others.
I have been blessed to have shared time---laughter and tears and lots of hugs of caring--- and now---as we all carry on---may we hold close all that he stood for--
all that he lived for--- a life about others----
A real treasure to behold--
Charlie lived a full life knowing deeply---what life was all about .
Madge, Darlene,Deb----- my thoughts and prayers for God's Comfort and Peace are with you.
All my love---- Wendy.

It was always good to see him at the festivals. He always had something funny to say and was always ready to offer a hand or a smile. I'm sorry I did not get to know him longer and I offer many condolences for the loss of such a wonderful gentleman.
