Aunt Susie always had a huge heart for others, and this was visible by the number of kids being raised in their house. It was especially encouraging to she how happy she always was, even in her last years. The dementia never stopped her from being so happy to see visitors, even though she no longer knew who they were.

I am truly sorry to hear of Aunt Susie's passing from this mortal world and although we lost her real soul some years ago the blessings are rich, bringing a flood of precious memories to mind. There were many happy times at the Rempel house when I was young as the parade of kids that came and went got to share some of the love we all were so lucky to have known. One of my favourite times with Auntie Susie was working in the cherry orchards during summer vacations. Susie, Mom, and Aunt Trudy would sing as they picked and it sure made the day go faster. The most memorable tunes that Aunt Susie would sing was an old one by Hank Snow called <Lets Pretend> and I still remember all the words. And she would yodel much to our delight. I have so many great rememberences that it overshadows the health issues that beset her in later years. I choose to keep the happy times close to my heart and hope that all her extended family can rest easy now in knowing Auntie Susie is once again singing with joy in a better place where there is no pain and the precious memories are all happy ones. Always Loved by niece Kathy

One of my favourite memories of Aunt Susie was when she, Aunt Trudy, and Mom got together to make vareniki. They would use 12 dozen eggs, and I would often turn the handle of Mom's noodle maker.
