So sorry to hear this. I remember first meeting Barry at his garage. Though dad often worked on his own cars, he trusted Barry with more complex problems and knew he was honest.

To Jean & Family:
Oh what a loss we have all just experienced with the sad news about Barry. The McPherson family can never thank your family enough for all the good times that you shared especially with mom and dad over the years. We remember stories told about the adventures of Barry, Jean, Olive and Jim and the fun and fellowship that you experienced. Thank you and Barry for picking up mom for so many years and taking her to church services. Your kindness and efforts to keep her attached to the church family were wonderful and so appreciated. What a great servant for the Lord. Never vocal but always at the church building to set up, help with food preparation and clean up. Christian service personified. Must have been great family experience to have Barry as a husband, father and grandfather!

Dear Jean and Family
Sending you love and hugs. I remember Barry back to 1951 when we arrived in Canada, and my sisters and I were invited to attend the Tintern Church of Christ. Many times we were invited after Church to join the Hannah family for lunch. It was a wonderful treat to be included in a large, loving family and also the Tintern Church families. I have never forgotten how welcome we were made to feel. God bless you all at this difficult time. Sending thoughts also from Heather (Wilson) who is unable to send them herself.
Helen Zimmerman.

I was blessed to spend a lot of time in the Hannah household during my pre-teen and teen years. Even as a youth I recognized that Barry and Jean were a true love match. As reserved and quite as Barry was, he obviously adored his wife. He was an awesome dad and it is so easy to bring to mind the way he would wryly watch the antics and conversations going on with a twinkle in his eye. He knew how to make you feel loved and accepted without saying anything at all. When I think of Barry, I think of hard work without complaint or fanfare, complete dedication to family, faith, wisdom and kindness. Much love to the Hannah family.

What a wonderful man for whom we have always had so much love and respect! One of my earliest memories of Barry is at a service in the old Tintern building. He was taking a little rambunctious Lynette out and she was protesting with a very audible “No, Daddy!”. ;-) Such a beautiful soul, an awesome dad and exemplary mate. He and Jean have always been our marriage heroes. We will miss his sweetness and gentleness, and we pray that Jean and all of their family will feel the tremendous love of all of us who have been blessed to have them in our lives.
