I was so sorry to learn of the passing of Marlene. I knew her from Jordan hockey and later through a mutual family connection. She always took the time to say hello and ask about my boys. May she Rest In Peace and be reunited with her beloved son, Adam. Thinking of the Wylie and Honsberger families, and of course Colin and Scott, at this very sad time.

I was shocked and very saddened to hear of Marlene's passing. We worked together on Unit D and Brock units at GNG. I remember her as a very dedicated and compassionate nurse, as well as a pleasure to work with. Through conversations over the years, it was obvious how devoted and proud she was of her boys.
My condolences are for all of her family.
I will think of her whenever I hear "A Whiter Shade of Pale."

I was so sad to hear about Marlene passing away. I worked with her on Brock and knew she was a special person. I will always remember her kindness, her chocolate chip cookies and of course the garlic she shared with me. I always think of her fondly when I see the plants growing in my yard. May she rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family who have been faced with this great loss.

Dave & I were saddened to hear of Marlene’s passing.
Dave has many fond childhood memories as the Honsberger’s and Foster’s were very close friends. Those memories include many fun trips to Florida & Saturday night get together’s when Mel, Jean, Tobe & Doris played cards & the kid’s hung out and tried to stay out of trouble.
In later years, we both looked forward to seeing Mar at “ Junebug” games/ gatherings, scavenger hunts, “ Olympaids”, Grey Cup parties, and of course any other chance to celebrate anything at the J.H.
Marlene was a very sweet, caring friend with a Big heart. She always showed interest in all the family. We will miss our Dear friend.
Our deepest condolences to Tom & Family, Scott & Colin.
Sincerely,
Dave & Joanne Foster

It was with great sadness and complete shock that I learned of the sudden passing of Marlene. Marlene and I spent much time together in our childhood, as our parents were close friends, and her brother, Craig, my best man, was my best friend growing up. She had a great wit and was always quick to laugh, even as Craig bugged her to no end. I will forever cherish those memories of times spent at the Honsberger house, roaming through the chicken barn, swimming in the pool, and “working” in the cherry plant.
Marlene faced more tragedies in her life than anyone should have to endure, and always managed through them with dignity. May she now rest in peace.
Our deepest condolences to Tom and family, Marlene’s two surviving sons, and other relatives and close friends.
Wayne (and Kathy) Foster

This quote from her obituary is absolutely true "Her former colleagues remember her as a dedicated nurse who was respected for her grace, compassion, kindness and dry sense of humour." I so looked forward to my shifts with Marlene. We had great laughs but when we needed to be serious we were. Yes and she always had her lipstick in hand and reapplying it whenever she had the chance.
My heart breaks for Tom, Scott, Colin, her stepchildren, her besties and all those of whom were her people xoxoxo
She touched so many lives, mine included and I will never forget her.
Rest in Peace Marlene. I am so glad we had the chance to meet and nurse together

I am so sad to hear of Marlene's passing. We became friends when I started working at Niagara (Meridian) Credit Union back in 1979, we had a lot of good times together and I was lucky to have her as one of my bridesmaids. We lost touch in recent years but I always thought of her as a good friend. My sincere condolences to her family, my thoughts are with you.
