Parliament Oak was so much more "sociable" with the arrival of the new Principal, Mr. Pries. Big change from the old guard. Mark was the class comedian. Miss those days.

My condolences to Mary, Mark, and Brent. Mr Pries was certainly the most popular member of Parliament Oak. He passed his intelligence and quick wit to his great sons.

Sharon and I both extend our condolences to Mary, Mark and Brent. I have been friends with Mark since 1979, and met Ernie for the first time around 1983. I came to know Ernie quite well over the years while either visiting Mark at home or where he and Ernie were working on their project homes. I have many fond memories of all the times we talked and laughed together. Catching up on life when running into him at the Post Office in Niagara on the Lake was the most recent contact I had with him. Those were some good times and that is what the journey of life is all about.

My condolences to the family of Ernie Pries. Ernie was my principal in elementary school and I was in highschool with Mark. My remembrance of Ernie was that of a great educator and mentor who cared about his profession to not only educate but guide his students. There are very few individuals of Ernie's calibre who were able to have such a positive influence on my life and that of others. Due to COVID I will not attend. Best wishes to the family.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this to commemorate my good friend and former colleague. He had been a model human being. I remember that when I first met him, he gave me an impression of a gentleman of knowledge and integrity. All through my teaching career in St. Catherines, that period was my most pleasant and rewarding experience. It is an honour to have worked with him.

My heartfelt sympathy to you Mary and to your sons. Ernie was a candle in the darkness of our days. He provided stability and showed his love to the many children in his care throughout his career. I worked with many educators over the years. Ernie was the best of the best! May God bring you comfort and peace as Ernie continues his journey. His influence will continue to light our way. Deepest Sympathy from The Martyk Family

We would like to express our thanks to Ernie and Mary for their friendship- it was special. It went back to the year when Art and Ernie as principal worked together at Lincoln Centennial School. He was the best administrator to work with. He loved
the children and expressed his care for them in unique ways. We will miss him very much. Our deepest sympathy to Mary, Mark, Brent and Indeya.
