I met Don through the Peninsula Field Naturalists nature club based in St. Catharines. Don was a long-time member and took care of the name tags for many years until our last meeting. Don was knowledgeable about nature, particularly plants, and the history of St. Catharines. Whenever I had a St. Catharines history question, I was always told to ask Don. When we are able to gather for meetings again there will be a void where this quiet, unassuming man used to be.
