Our heartfelt condolences.
May God's peace surround you as you grieve.
We treasure the recent visit we had with Bill our friend, when he was making
his rounds up in the Owen Sound area.
He was such an inspiration with his outlook
on life with strong family values and his love for Jesus.
We had a good visit together with Bill and Brian and
when it was time for them to go and visit some more, he left us with
this last memory, as a gift. We are thankful for the friendship we shared.
He will be missed.

My Condolences to the Buys Family. I remember when Bill came to Canada and lived across the road from us in Derby Township. It has been years since I have seen Bill, but I am in touch with his sisters that still live in our area, and know his nephew as well. Please pass along our sympathy to his siblings and let them know that our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. Carol and Jack Patterson. {nee Black}.

We didn't know Bill well but ran into him on various occasions ( concerts, grandparents' days, lifechains, etc) and he impressed us as being always very kind and friendly, a man striving to be a light not only in his family's life, but also in the world around him. He will be greatly missed! May God comfort all those who loved him with His sure promises and may good memories of this remarkable man lighten your hearts even as you grieve.

How surprised I was to get a call from Bill on the occasion of my 80th birthday. I knew Bill, but not well. The fact that he would take the time to call me speaks volumes of his character. I will forever remember his kind words. Rest in Peace Bill.

My condolences to the Buys family in the loss of their Dad, Bill. I have fond memories of your Dad he gave me my lst job right out of high school at 17 lol in 1971 I was his Secretary at the Royal Bank at Upper James and Kennedy, saw many of the little Buys children grow up. Bill danced at my wedding, I remember Mrs. Buys making us Olibollen at Christmas time. But I always remember how strong his faith was, sounds like he had a wonderful life after retirement, may he rest in peace.
Always remembered.

Remembering pre cottage summers at Killbear - your Dad was often leading the red sailed mirror dinghy's in the daily races off of Harold's Point, very often the one to ask about the details - who's the rabbit? what's the handicap? I remember being so struck by his care for Trevor who was such a cute toddler in those days. Thinking of beautiful times of rest and play during those years, of being impressed by your family's size and by how fun it looked to be part of that adventurous yet well organized crew, and sending condolences to all of you as you walk through this time of grief and remembrance. May God continue to give you strength and an overwhelming sense of his Love. Rachel (Zwart) Janecek

Condolences to all the family: Your dear loved one, was a special friend to my dad. Grateful. He took my dad on his motorbike to Port Dalhousie when my dad was 80 and he must have been 73. Mr. Buys seemed young all his life, what a blessing and most of all he was gifted with faith, which the LORD gave. May we seek his LORD and Saviour. Soli deo Gloria. Nancy Leguijt, Len Vandergriendt's daughter.

Janet and I wish to extend our condolences with the passing of your father. During this time when we cannot do that in person, it was a pleasure to read the tribute you as family wrote of your dad. He was obviously well loved and respected, and served His Lord and Saviour faithfully!
