Dear Hildebrand Family,
It was easy to see your dad laughing in my mind's eye. It was something he did frequently when I knew him, What a joy for him to go home and what sorrow for you as you walk the rest of your journey on earth without him, I am truly sorry for your loss.

I remember him as a very kind and generous man who along with Trudy, opened their home to countless teenagers. I am sure we were inconvenient at times, but what a great example of hospitality and grace by both Art and Trudy.

Uncle Art was a fun-loving man. I’ll never forget his laughter while playing a rousing game of spoons and ending up sprawled across the table. In the more recent years I enjoyed the way him and my dad (his brother) would visit together; often sharing pieces of life from the past farming years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
