Obituary of Harold George Smith

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Harold George Smith of North Pelham on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in his 90th year, at the Trinity Village Care Centre in Kitchener. Predeceased by beloved wife Joan (nee Cox) Smith (deceased 1991) and beloved wife Joyce (nee Haalstra) Smith (deceased 2019).

Loving father of Patty (Dan) Pronovost, Laura Smith, Scott Smith and caring grandfather of Devin (Amy) Pronovost, Joane Pronovost, Olivia Corbett and Bridget Corbett.  Loving step-father of Brenda (Ernie) Bell, Danny (Julie) Cavers, Daryl (Donna) Cavers, Karen (Wade) Dowling, Linda (Karl) Zavitz, Ross (Christine) Cavers, Roy (Sandra) Cavers, Bill Haalstra, and Bonnie Haalstra and caring grandfather and great-grandfather of their many children. Cherished brother to Donald (Aileen) Smith (deceased), Arthur (Margaret deceased) Smith, Gordon (Dolly) Smith and Rita (Gordon) Young and brother-in-law to Bob (Sharon deceased) Cox and Gordon (Elaine) Cox and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the staff of the Trinity Village Care Centre for their excellent care. In keeping with Harold's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held when permitted. If desired, memorial donations can be made to Great Lakes Christian High School or a charity of your choice.
