Dear Phyllis and family, our thought go out to you during this difficult time. John was one of the most genuine and sincere individuals I have ever had the privilege of knowing. His support, mentorship and sense of humour were greatly appreciated when I began my career in education. I remember fondly the camaraderie and hijinks of many a Special Education conference. He will indeed be missed. Our condolences and thoughts are with you during this difficult time. XOX. Ken and Diane Lamb.

Dear Phyllis, I am sending you a virtual hug and sincere sympathy from the bottom of my heart. You've had the blessed gift of a devoted husband for so many years. I hope you know that you continue to have the support in any way we can give it, of John's many friends.
I was happy to work as a team member with John for years in the Faculty of Education at Brock University. I mean this quite literally; we worked for our students with joy. We had fun while we worked hard to support our students and celebrate their successes. it was absolutely wonderful to work with John- someone (including Sandra) who honestly cared for our students and the higher cause of public education. John was respected by everyone he worked with, and I trusted him absolutely as a colleague and friend. Deep sadness is so hard to put into words.

Our Quarterback won’t be back this Season.
Memories of stimulating off-campus Seminars at the Mansion House, Cat’s Caboose, Marco’s, the Jordan House, Honsberger Estates & the Beacon, supplemented Dr.J’s formal academic career in Canada & Europe. We gathered with him to share his intellect, humour. & personal generosity with our own. A tonic to the tedium & chaos of daily life that was eagerly anticipated. In less than an hour, all the world’s problems were solved.
We shall gather in your memory John.
