We love you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

What a loving and heartfelt tribute to a man who shined bright and sprinkled love wherever he went. I will remember Mr. Neufeld as a captivating storyteller with a zest for life! It is clear that his love lives on in his children...and grandchildren!
I will always remember him with his big welcoming smile, smacking his chest and announcing, “Be free!”, words of wisdom he once shared that have become words of inspiration to me and my family.
Hans, thank you for shining your light on our lives, you made it shine bright, warming our hearts just like a ray of sunshine! We will miss you deeply.
Our deepest and heartfelt sympathies to each of you.
May his memory be eternal.

I just wanted to add a brief memory I had of your family. I remember the time when you John came with your father Hans to check out Canada. You arrived in your fine outdoor clothes complete with the famous Russian fur hat. I remember your grandfather trying to subtly influence little John to wear a more conventional wool hat with a pompom on top. Your father couldn't understand why you would give up such a fine hat for that. Your grandfather said something like,"he's going to get killed wearing that hat! It just wasn't going to fly here! I can see now how well he adapted to Canadian customs and living. Hope it brings a smile to your face!

We send our condolences to Hans Friends and Family.
It was so clear in all the messages, photos, and comments at the funeral that Hans was a generous person, and his presence will be missed. Keep his memory close to your hearts and think of him often, focus on the great memories.
To John: I know what it is like to lose a Dad and have learned that it hurts when the great ones leave, but that is how it should be. Our Dads were so involved in our kids lives, they lit up every single time a grandchild did anything, they loved us unconditionally, and our Dads fixed everything. Put all this together and it is clear our Dads made us the fathers we are.
Love to all
Ryan Weaver.

My deepest condolences for the Neufeld family.
We are deeply sorry for the loss of your husband, father and Opa.
We always called Hans our "Onkel Wanja"
We have great memories when Hans and his family visited us in Germany, shortly after we immigrated from the Soviet Union. Later when we moved to Manitoba. I was able to visit Onkel Hans and Tante Katja in St. Catherines few times. He always made us feel very special. Where ever Onkel Wanja was he spread joy laughter and cheerfulness.
My special memory of Onkel Wanja was, that when he heard that I was moving to northern Manitoba to do mission work, he was very worried. Worried about our children about safety, health and other things. He was a very caring person. I had a chance to talk to him a few weeks before we moved. He came to me during a visit in Manitoba and lifted up his praying hands and told me, "I will be praying for you! God bless you!" He said.
It meant a lot for me.
We will deeply miss him!
May God bless and comfort you!

Wir werden Дядя Ваня vermissen.
