I am so sorry about the passing of your mom, grandma and so much more. I will miss having little chats with her when she was in her backyard. She always had the best nancy of rhubarb growing when your dad, grandpa had his garden. At least they are back together again. My deepest condolensces. Sherry janes ( back yard neighbour)

My mother Anne Neufeld and I (Judy) just watched the lovely memorial service. We were deeply moved by the pictures and the tributes. When we think of Betty what comes to mind immediately was her cheerfulness and great big smile. More recently we treasure those summer visits to Anne’s house with the siblings and Helen Braun - we will miss those times! We think about the wonderful reunion taking place in heaven right now!

It is such a loss and with heavy heart that we can’t convey or feelings and condolences in person to Betty’s family. Especially as we have worshipped, sang, laughed and cried together for countless years. Betty was a pillar of our church congregation in so many ways. She was always positive with a smile and laugh to match. She was an inspiration to many...Thank you Betty. May you and your family find Peace.

Prayers and thoughts to Elizabeth, Susan, John, Sandra, Jim, Carol and your families at this time. I was able to view the service today and moved by the eulogie that John presented and the slide show. It brought back memories of growing up across the road from the Penner family. The robust smiles on Ernie and Betty’s faces as well as the hearty laughs that emanated after filled the neighbourhood. They left a lasting legacy in all of you and in us. May the Lord guide you in this time of sorrow.

We were introduced to your mum through our friendship with Elizabeth and Steve. Although we did not know your mum for a lot of years, she made a big impression on us with her beautiful, warm smile and ability to make you feel welcome. She was truly a Lady. Our sincere condolences to you all. Praying for Carol at this time.

Liz, Susan, John, Jim, Sandy, and Carol; Mom, Ger and Liz, Ken and Vi and Kathy and Ron are so very, very sorry for your loss. Aunt Betty will always be remembered by us because of her huge laugh and lovely smile along with so many other wonderful characteristics. We know it is a huge loss, but I seriously always see her with Uncle Ernie by her side and them always having so much fun. And now she is by his side after all these years. I can't end this without saying that Aunt Betty's buttertarts were the absolute best in this world and will be sorely missed.
