Obituary of Robert Lawrence Nicholas Curik

Curik, Robert - It is with the saddest of hearts that the Curik family announces Robert "Bob" Lawrence Nicholas Curik peacefully passed away at the age of 64 surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

Beloved husband to Anjela Maria Rodrigues of 27 years, Robert also leaves behind his children Shawn Miguel, Katrina Maria, and Laura Anne, his Mae, Maria de Jesus, and Pai, Manuel Rodrigues and his two furry companions Kiwi and Billie. He will be dearly missed by his sister, Brenda, his two bros Calvin (Claire) and Mark (Gillian), godchildren Kaitlyn ("Miss Bouncy-Bounce) and Christina, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from around the world.

His legacy as a caring, generous, strong-willed man began in Timmins, Ontario where he was born.  After leaving his beloved Northern hometown and graduating from Brock University in 1987, Robert along with partner Don Kilimnik, owned and operated DC Foods Processing out of Waterloo, Ontario from 1992-2016.

Robert will now join his predeceased parents Lawrence (2006) and Mary Curik (2009), his sister-in-law Ana Isabelle Gall (2014), his brother-in-law Larry Ingargiola (2009) and his beloved furry family friend and companion Maddie (2017).

Robert will be remembered fondly for his love of cruisin', milk chocolate chipits, countless hours of golf, his unwavering devotion to the Boston Bruins and hockey, his love for the "Boss" Bruce Springsteen and Rock n Roll, and cheap delicious red wine which he loved to share with any and all.

Special thanks to everyone at St. Catharines General Hospital and his care team at the Grand River Regional Cancer Center in Waterloo for their compassionate and dutiful care of Robert throughout his time.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that you donate to your local soup kitchen or food bank to help those most in need.
