To Elaine and Brent. I was so sorry to hear, today, of Dave's passing. Dave and I were both brand new Air Cadets with 23 Squadron R.C.Air C. at the Optimist Club of St. Catharines at the age of 14, jointly participating in every phase of Squadron training, be it the Squadron band, Drill Team, Amateur Radio Club, Tom Wade's Radio Hobby Classes and every other area of Squadron Activity. We both graduated "Cadets" at the same time, at the age of 19, and returned as Squadron Instructors spending many wonderful years in that capacity, as well as spending many years together as amateur radio members of N.P.A.R.C. David will be greatly missed by everyone who ever knew him in any capacity as always being ready, willing and able to help anybody who needed it. I, for one, will miss him indeed. Pleases accept my condolences. Dennis Dunbar VE3DU

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of a wonderful man. I met David and Elaine while on a road trip to Ottawa with Elaine's sister Jessie several years ago. I will always remember kindness and caring shown to me by this awesome couple. The world is a little less bright without David in it, but Elaine take comfort in the knowledge that David will always walk beside you until the day you meet again. My heart and prayers are with you at this very sad time. xo Irene Miller

David and I started our Millwright Apprenticeship together in 1972. David was very professional in his trade and always a pleasure to work with. He was a quite man that could light up a room with his big smile and great laughter. I honestly never seen David get angry as he had a very calming demeanour. You couldn’t meet a nicer person. Miss you big guy. RIp

Our memories of David go back to the early 80’s when we were the corps officers in St. Catharines and David and his family were members of The Salvation Army. David was generous in volunteering with the annual Red Shield blitz, by giving his time on his ‘Short wave’ radio, to help with pick ups from the volunteer canvassers. Dave was a great guy.
To Elaine, Brent and all members of the family Ruth and I extend our sympathies, and assure you of our prayers during these days. May God truly bless and comfort the Digweed family.
