Our sincere condolences to the Andres family.
In 1991 we purchased the family home from your mother and father, we still reside here today.Your wonderful dad took a lot of pride in his home and yard and family. We felt there must have been a great deal of love and happiness here.
Growing up in Beamsville, we also remember your dad at the shoe store and clothing store, always so polite and helpful.
Thinking of a nice man with a smile

Dear Dad,
Thank you for being my Father, mentor, teacher, and a great example to me. You taught me how to succeed with hard work, to be committed, to care, to share, and to put others before me. Love to you always.
Will miss you forever. Dorothy

I have wonderful memories of Uncle Jake both as a child and again on a road trip I took with him as an adult. He was full of entertaining stories and we were very fond of him. Prayers to all of those who loved him.

Your father gave me my first real job. He taught me to fit shoes properly and do some bookkeeping. He was always patient and kind.
I always enjoyed my job. Also enjoyed working with David, Dorothy and Lauryn when they came in after school
to work.
The last time I saw him was at my mom’s funeral. We had a good time reminiscing.

My condolences to the family of this wonderfully sweet man. It was a pleasure to assist him daily when he was with us in the Evergreen apartment. Gentle is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Jake :)

We also wish to add our sincere condolences to all the family on the passing of my FAVOURITE uncle JAKE . I must add tho that I had a number of "favourite " Uncles . Uncle Jake was such a kind gentle sharing person all his life . There was something about him that really wanted you (ME) to be just like him. And when we were young we often had "PETKAU " gatherings thru'out the year, and I was always so happy if "my Uncle Jake Andres" would be there as well..He lived a wonderful and long exemplary life and may this be your comfort and strength as family for many years to come .

I remember Mr Andres as being a kind and generous store owner, My mother, a widow with five children would take us in to buy our shoes. He would always discreetly give her a discount. That gesture was recognized and appreciated.
I'm sure you have many precious memories as well.

I will always remember Jake as my cheerful and always positive brother-in-law! He made me feel special when I visited him and he said "please come again!". He was an example to me in many ways - and one of them was his faithfulness in being at his church if at all possible! Aggie Petkau

Thanks Aunt Aggie, Yes, Dad was always faithful in seeing that he and the rest of the family got to church.......and on time! He taught us so many things....faithfulness, integrity, kindness, work ethic, and so on. He left a great legacy. Dorothy
