Dear Ricki and family ,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Paul’s passing . The friendship of Paul and his family goes back three generations with our family , both families being Ukrainian fruit farmers . Paul was a very hard worker , a very kind person , a man of honour , a true gentleman and a friend to all . I enjoyed his friendship over the years , and enjoyed his annual visits accompanied by Ricki over the last 30 years to my eye clinic ,where we had great conversation discussing our farming backgrounds and a variety of topics . He will be deeply missed by myself and my family . Deepest sympathy ,
Dr Doug Fernick and family

We were all just heartbroken to hear of Paul's passing. My dad considered him one of his dearest friends and even though, as they got older, the ice fishing trips were a thing of the past, that special kinship never faded. We all have so many treasured memories of your family's visits to Callander and our visits to the farm. You have been such a comfort to us with mom's passing and we can only hope to offer you the same support and comfort, in remembering how Paul was never shy to show everyone that his three girls were his everything. I'm guessing his is squatting in an ice shack somewhere on Lake Nipissing right now trying to hook that perfect pickerel for supper. Mom is probably jigging right next to him, hoping he will untangle her fishing line when she frantically hauls up that pike. :-)

Uncle Paul was one of those Uncles you never forgot, how could you ... always trying to make you smile with a smart comment, he act or do something that simply made you laugh...
I have so many fond memories throughout my life with Uncle Paul, the Hamilton Tiger Cat games when I was young, working at the farmers market together, but most notably were the fishing trips together. Lake Nippising, Rice Lake, Bay of Quinte to name a few. Of course never without snacks and Dr. Pepper. My dad (Peter) was always a part of these memories, some that we're not able to mention. But rest assured, they were all fun and unforgettable. Thank you for these memories Uncle Paul, they will last my lifetime and hopefully others too.

Don & I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Ricki, his daughters, Peter his twin brother sister-in-law Dora and all of his grandchildren, brother and sister and extended family.
Paul liked to joke and was always full of the devil pulling pranks on his friends. :He worked hard but also enjoyed his "toys" of which he had many.
We will miss him and may he rest in peace!
May His Memory Be Eternal!
