I had the privilege of having Ms Fast as my Grade 1 teacher. Over the years it was always a pleasure to run into her here and there. I will miss chatting with her. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Aunt Tena was so very special to us. She always remembered our birthdays and included the sweetest notes to us and our children. We visited her shortly after we were married and stayed with her. She took us to beautiful Niagara Falls and was a wonderful, gracious hostess cooking for us and insisted on giving us her bed for our stay. Her love for the Lord was so evident in everything she said and did. We live in Chattanooga TN so didn't get to see her often but are so thankful for the times we did when she was here and also our visits to her. She was a true servant of our Lord Jesus Christ and will be fondly remembered by our family for her kind, loving, gracious spirit that she so freely shared with us all.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Tena, a genuinely kind and giving lady. I am the niece of Grace Dennis-Macdonald ( d. 2012), another life-long educator and Tena’s dear friend and globe-trotting travel companion.
Sincerely, Patti Malkiewich

I was so saddened to read of Tena’s passing. I used to see her when I’d be playing piano at Tabor Manor, and of course remember the good ol’ days on Heywood Ave. My sincere condolences especially to Hilda and the rest of the family. I will be tuning in to the service on Wednesday. Virtual hugs from Keith.

I loved my Aunt Tena, and although I haven't been able to visit her in many years, she is still special to me. She sent me a birthday card every year growing up, and a Christmas card, too.
I remember visiting her house back in the late 70's. I climbed a big tree in her yard, and picked rhubarb, and played games in her living room. I think I also slid down the wooden stairs on my rear end. Mom (Leona) says she doesn't remember that, but I do. I remember drinking Canada Dry Ginger Ale and to this day I still like drinking it.
Love and prayers go to my parents and all my aunts and uncles and cousins who are grieving right now. Jesus has brought one more child to her heavenly home, and I praise the Lord that now she is now with her Savior.

Aunt Tena was a wonderful aunt. I can't can't the number of times she took me out for a special lunch or took me to Niagara Falls to go on the Maid of the Mist or other little excursion for some one on one time. They were very special to me and her willingness to build and maintain family relationships (thinking of family picnics!) will never be forgotten. With love, Kelley

Our sincere condolences to the Fast family and in particular to our good friends Lydia (Fast) & Ernie Koop. We only got to know Tina during her later years in her life as a member of Grantham MB Church. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" Psalm 116:15
