So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. In 2006 Brian invited me to visit him and Bonnie in Neskantaga First Nation, near Lansdown House ON. You can read about that trip here: (https://noelwalker.wordpress.com/neskantaga). Brian was my teacher that week for I learned so much about the Anishinaabe people and my own colonist culture. It was both a delightful and a humbling experience. Brian started me on a journey to learn about the good and the bad of short term missions. Brian loved the people of Neskantaga, especially the kids. Because of him I love them too, and I'm still learning.
On the Feast Day in late December 2006, "Uncle Brian" was Santa Claus and distributed Christmas Gifts sent by families in Southern Ontario.
I am grateful for Brian's desire to love Jesus and I am glad to know him as family, as a colleague and a friend.
