Dear Hertha and family, we were saddened to hear of Uncle George's passing. He was a great guy, always friendly, always caring. I worked for him one summer at South Shore Packers when I was 17. I got to drive tow motor and that was the best summer job ever. He was a wonderful boss. He also sold our first house and made the experience smooth and easy. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.

George was a regular guest for many years at our family hunt camp. He earned the nickname “candy man” because he always had treats in his pocket to share with the kids. He was a very kind and gentle man who was friendly with all of our family.
George was easy to talk to as he had a way of making each person feel special. He was genuinely interested in how and what you were doing in life.
We had some good talks over the years about our faith in Jesus Christ. It is good to know that we will see each other again in the Father’s house!
On behalf of the Libby hunt camp boys! With genuine sympathy to all of George’s family!

Dear Hertha:
We have so many wonderful memories of our ski trips with you guys. George always had such a nice smile and was so much fun. You were always such a great couple to run into at church meals and, lately, almost every funeral we went to. Now, we can't even be there for you at his own. We loved you both dearly and will miss him. Our deepest condolences.

Dear Hertha, I was so sorry to hear this sad news. We always enjoyed seeing you at the Red Rooster on Sundays when we went for lunch with Mom and Dad, and George always took the time to stop and say Hi to Dad. Dennis and our son Jake had such a great time on the fishing trip they took with George one year. So glad they had that opportunity. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Dear Aunt Hertha and family, in1956 I discovered uncle George when he said "hey Ken"want to have a race sweeping saw dust off the new church floor ,what a dusty moment and we were laughing, then in 57 I came upon at grandfathers barn uncle George and uncle Henry tagging hogs for market when uncle George calls over "hey Ken" get in here and we all grab a hog by the ears and jump on their backs for a ride, time goes by and in 61 Uncle George shows me how to drive a tractor and back up with a trailer load of peaches and not run over the pickers and that is when I saw uncle Georges arms were the size of Arnold Schwarzenegger carrying two eleven quart baskets of peaches in each hand !! the following year, Uncle George said 'hey Ken" you have your drivers permit now so I want to show you how to drive the five ton truck around the barn yard with him in the passengers side, well when grandma saw that she went nuts and uncle George told her he has a plan. that plan was for me to come to the farm at 4A,M.so that he and I would go to Toronto market. uncle George used me as a spy at the market to see what the other guy was selling peaches for and he showed me how to barter , and yes I drove the truck home while he slept
Then there was a time uncle George calls me "hey Ken" could you come house sit the kids for one night while your aunt Hertha and I go out, there was soooo much fun that night that I was never asked again ,other good times were all those Christmas banquets in the basement and one time uncle George would call "hey Ken" have you ever had a BLACK RUSSIAN ? Boy was that tasty, now in 1970 I needed a job for a few months and once again I get a call from uncle George "hey Ken" I need a maintenance man on a large farm that I manage you want to come? Then when uncle George was selling houses and some of them needed a small repairs in order to sell, he would call 'Hey Ken" can you come fix this up? well uncle George has now gone to a better place and when my time is up I will hear that voice "hey Ken" come on over here the view is heavenly
