So sorry for the loss of your father Kristen, Kerri & Kaley. Mr. Lys always let me sleep over and the three of us gals made lotsa prank calls, stayed up all night eating junk food and watching movies in our younger years. Always had fun and remember I thought it was funny one of the several times I got to go up north to the cottage when Mr. Lys caught a huge turtle that was I believe turned into stew, it was funny on the ride home, he loved this one tune - ooh baby, ooh baby ur driving me crazzzyyy! Everytime I look around, everytime I look around, your in my face! - dunno the group but it cracked me up as he was a man of little words on them long drives, thought it was hilarious that he liked that song so much - lol, he also loved Rothman's at the point in time when I was around the most - whatta great Dad he was and it is great that he is with his wife in heaven.....Blessings to all three of you gals, love you all for life, so so sooooo so sorry for your loss - may you find the strength you will need through your grief in God.

We send you all our condolences during this difficult time. Your dad certainly was proud of you and your families. I had seen John for the first time in many years at Albright Manor when he and his mom were visiting his dad. He certainly was dedicated to their well being. It is so unfortunate he suffered poor health and taken so young. Hopefully wonderful memories will help you through difficult times. He’d like that.

Kristen, Kerri and Kaley please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your Dad. When I saw the obituary picture and the smile on his face I knew immediately who he was. I remember him dropping Kristen off at the portable at Michael J. Brennan in the morning and then waiting til the girls got in line when the bell rang. I marvelled at this young widower and three little girls. Always a smile. You are in my thoughts at this most difficult time.

I met John through Kaley when he would wander in to visit her at work. Then shortly after I met him we ended up working together for the Standard. He helped me immensely with my route so that I was able to take extended time off to travel. I certainly would not have been able to do that without him. I miss the days we would sit chatting in his car while we waited for the truck to come in. I would always stop at 7-11 and grab us both a coffee and a cherry crueller,,,,,,,,,,,that sure made his face light up ! ! ! He was a great friend and always had funny stories to tell. He spoke constantly of his girls and all the grandchildren. He certainly will be missed by me. He is now reunited with the love of his life Carmel whom I never had the pleasure to meet but heard all about. Rest in Peace, you certainly deserve it. Lisa MacGregor
