With deep sadness in my heart, I learn of Paula's going from our midst into a rich reward in eternal life, I pray. I extend my loving thoughts to you, Butch, and to you who were family to her. I treasure my memories of seeing you together at Mass at St. Alexander (and receiving some interesting line drawings of myself from Jade!), as you were faithful and faith-filled. I am indebted to Paula's handiwork as a skilled craftswoman, as she made and embroidered for the church some needed liturgical items. Of course, the moves that occurred -- yours and mine -- took us further apart from one another, so I didn't see you as often any more. I do remember well visiting you in your new place off Queenston St. in St. Catharines. I feel a certain emptiness over the loss of such a considerate and gracious woman, with whom I enjoyed many a conversation at the church doors (with you, too, Butch). She was well-known in the educational community as well as the parish communities she belonged to (including St. Mary in St. Catharines). I thank God for the privilege of having known her, and I offer my heartfelt prayers of sympathy to all of you in the Brisson family. May she enter into the full embrace of God. (Fr.) Peter T. Rowe

Paula was a beautiful woman, full of life and excelling at it. I was so privileged to be able to get to know her at the early morning swimming. She was always ready to listen but also share about her life, family was so important to her. She was a giving person with a kind heart. Heaven gained a beautiful angel .

My sincerest condolences to Butch and the entire family. Paula was the heart at Our Lady of Fatima. She cared deeply about everyone, easily shared her gift of laughter, tempted us with her delicious baked treats and kept us all stitched together properly with her amazing talent of sewing. Many a repair was made for staff and any child’s stuck zipper was always fixed. Her kindness and gentleness was a gift to us all. An angel has gained her wings.
