Deepest Sympathy to the Froese Family. Jake Froese was my cousin and he and Erna were at our place when Mary-Jakes sister passed away. I have memories of the Froese home and the boys when they were in St. Catherines and we visited them there. Deepest sympathy to all. The livestream was exceptional-music, and eulogies and the service.Marsden and Edna Edwards (nee Sawatsky)from Oak Lake now from Winnipeg.

Dear Donna and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing and want you to know you're all in our thoughts and prayers. Gerry was a wonderful person. He lit up the family reunions and where there was Gerry, there was laughter. He was so easy to talk to and had great stories. We're so thankful for those memories with Gerry and family. (Aunt Martha will send a separate message soon.) God bless you all, Love Maris and Don

We would like to express our condolences to Donna and the extended family on the passing of Gerry. We got to know Gerry in Florida when he came to visit his relatives. When I think of Gerry , I see him in the hot tub in Royal Manor. May the Lord comfort you at this time and may the memories of Gerry sustain you during this difficult time.

Dear Donna,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you and all the Froese family as you face the loss of your beloved Gerry.
Uncle John and I always enjoyed our visits with you so much. Gerry and uncle
John shared a love for roasted pig tails and Gerry brought him a couple of
packages over the years. Gerry was such a down to earth guy and a friend to
everyone. I know you will miss him so very much, but I also know that God's
love will sustain you as it has throughout your life. With love and understanding,
Aunt Lucy

My condolences to all the family and friends that knew Gerry, he was one of the good ones.
I was friends with Gerry back in our high school days at Grantham High in St. Catharines and we had many good times together. Gerry always smiled and had something funny to talk about. His one-liners were priceless! After high school I didn't see him much but when we did occasionally meet up, it was fun to reminisce about old times.
I remember liquid lunches with a bunch of us across the canal in my 4-door '73 Chevy, hilarious antics during some classes at school particularly in the Dr's science classes (Do you follow me?), camping trips at Bing Island, and parties at my parent’s house.
Gerry ("Sloth") rarely called people by their real name because he would come up with a good nickname for you and it stuck.
You went too early my friend and I'm sure you will be sadly missed. Rest In Peace Gerry.

To Donna and the Froese family,
Whenever I would see or bump into “Frosey” over the years our brief encounters would always be highlighted with funny stories about our Mennonite upbringing and common friends or acquaintances. He always asked how I was doing and what I was up to and listened like he really cared about my answer. Gee, he made me laugh. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. I want to express my deepest condolences to Donna and all of the Froese family. We pray that our Heavenly Father would encourage and comfort you at this time.
Kind Regards,
Jim Goerz

We feel very lucky to have had the pleasure of Gerry's company at family gatherings. He really was one in a million - always fun, always kind, and always positive. We're so happy that you married Gerry, Donna, and that we had fifteen years to enjoy his sense of humour and awesome conversations. He's left us way too soon, but the light he brought to our lives will never be forgotten.
Love,
Joannie and Brian

To Gerry's family & particularly to Dennis & Cheryl whom we know:
Years ago, Gerry gave our mom, Jessie Penner, a trip of a lifetime when he took her along to Ontario. What unrelated young man would take a senior along like that? Gerry did! What a kind thoughtful, generous deed! More people with that kind of spirit are needed in this world. So sorry for your loss. For those who knew & loved him, his life was too short! But in God's presence he will be receiving his reward.
Our Condolences,
Tom & "BJ" Hiebert

In ones lifetime, a person would consider themselves extremely fortunate to meet and have one great friend of such strong character, honesty, decency, integrity and humour. I was honoured that Gerry included me in his circle of friends.
Whether in the Blue halls of Grantham or at an event in public his face would light up with his big smile and he would yell "Hey Hey....How's it Goin". Gerry Froese was loved by many simply because he was an honest man that loved life with all of his Family and Friends around him. Have you ever known a man to laugh so hard from the depths of his soul that he would pause in between segments of laughter to catch his breath. That was Gerry. From the time I met him in high school he would tell me of his favourite times sitting in his Opa's shop and learning from a great man. Visits with his Oma and the stories of a family passed down through the generations. I was so happy in my heart when Gerry met and married Donna because I knew he would have the life he deserved and because even a kind and gracious man should never be alone. Pope John Paul writes that sometimes God chooses a person to help everyone around that person understand the Grace and Gifts of God more clearly. He chose Gerry. I have wept a lot of tears for you today my friend, and I know that in your passing you have taught all of us to appreciate life and live it as you have with love in your heart and Grace in your soul. I'll see you again Gerry, you'll be in the 69 Oldsmobile Delta 88 at the Gates saying... Come On Hop In!!!! God Speed Gerry. My deepest condolences to the entire Froese family.
