Douglas Leggatt Duncan

1931-2021

Passed away quietly on June 17th, 2021, at the Welland Hospital. Predeceased by his parents George (1977) and Beatrice (1990), his 1st wife Bernice (1980) and Agnes (2020), daughter Lorie (2012) and brother George (1997).  

Douglas is survived by his son Bruce (Susan), granddaughter Olivia (Charles), great grandchildren Amelia, Arwen, Nathan & Aurora. He is also survived by his nieces Georgia & Patricia.  

Doug is also survived by Agnes’s children; Dorothy (John), Robert (Ruth) & Patricia and friend Mike. Along with grandchildren Kristy, Nathan, Rebecca, Robert, David, James, Kurt, Sean & Joel. Great grandchildren; Kurtis, Gavin, Soleil, Kai, Lydia, Maria & Evelyn. 

He attended Stanford high school in Niagara Falls, and the University of Toronto. He was a well respected pharmacist in the Niagara area for several decades, until his successful battle with prostate cancer in the early 90’s forced him to retire. After his retirement he enjoyed his antique cars, and plane shows. He loved to travel with both his wives, and enjoyed a good game of chess. He will be sadly missed by everyone in his life, but his smile and stories will live on. 

Cremation has taken place. Donations would be kindly accepted in memory of Doug at the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
