Obituary of Belinda Maria Vandersluis

VANDERSLUIS, Belinda Maria - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our very loved Belinda Vandersluis after a heroic battle with cancer. Passing peacefully on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.

Beloved wife of Jake Mohammad, proud mother of Emmett Meacher (Marta Canneri) and Gabriel Meacher (Sierra Haddleton), cherished sister to Carolyn Vandersluis (Tony Vaessen) and Chris Vandersluis (Shellie Vandersluis), dear Aunt to Matthew Hall, Melanie Vandersluis and Keenan Hall. 

A wonderful friend to many, Belinda leaves us with so many fond memories, she will be missed by us all. Belinda’s impact is wide reaching, from her decades of dedication to cancer research as the Operations Director of the NCIC Clinical Trials Group, the Executive Director of Gilda’s Club Southeastern Ontario and Toronto Cat Rescue. 

Belinda's many dear friends are invited to share in the celebration of her life. Family will receive friends at 4238 Academy St, Beamsville on Saturday September 18th, 2021 from 2pm to 6pm. 

In lieu of flowers, it was Belinda’s wish that all donations in her memory are made to Toronto Cat Rescue.
