Obituary of Mary Penner

Penner, Mary - Passed away peacefully at Tabor Manor on August 24 into the presence of her Lord in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Cornelius (2004). Loving mother of Dorothy (deceased 2010)(Allen) Schritt , John (June) Penner, Bert (Hedy) Penner and Marilyn (Greg) Bender. Loving grandma to Brenda (Jeff), Darryl, Chris (Kathleen), Shannon (Sharon), Kathy (Jeremy), Cory, Sean, Caleb and Lauren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Alvina Koop. Mary was predeceased by her siblings John Kliewer, Helen Nickel, Anne Willms and Peter Kliewer. Mary will be remembered as a hard worker and a very good cook/baker. Mary was a dedicated member of the Grantham M.B. Church and served there faithfully for many years. The family will receive friends at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St. on Saturday, August 27, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and for 1 hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at the Grantham Mennonite Brethren Church, 469 Grantham Avenue, St. Catharines on Monday, August 29 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery following a luncheon at the church. If desired, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
