Obituary of Dr. Campbell

CAMPBELL, Dr. Walter Graham Ardies - Passed away with his family by his side at the new St. Catharines General Hospital (Niagara Health System, St.Catharines Site), June 29, 2013, at the age of 80 years. Loving husband of Mary Almeda (nee Burton); dear father of Bruce (Baubie Clements) and Carolyn (Matthew Mullany). Also survived by brother Donald and his wife Barbara of Hamilton; niece Heather and nephew Shawn. A graduate of Queen's University, Meds '58, Graham interned at Hamilton General Hospital, and found his new "home" with a flourishing practice in Vineland and Beamsville for over 40 years and was a resident of Vineland for over 50 years. During his time as Medical Director of the Vineland United Mennonite Home, member of the Board of Directors of Albright Manor, Chief of Staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Coroner for Lincoln County, he still managed to find time for his life's pleasures of hunting on Manitoulin Island, fishing and camping with his family and friends, leading to the cottage on Kahshe Lake where he learned what true relaxation was all about. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St., on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-8:30 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, July 4th at 11 am. A reception will follow in the Tallman Fireside Room. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
