We were neighbours not family but we all called him Uncle Arie . I always practiced my Dutch with him when I saw him in his garden. Walking our dog Hunter she always needed to stop and get a pat and some kind words from him . He was a gentle kind soul and we will miss his warm smile . Our deepest condolences on the passing of a loved man. Geert (as we knew him) was my parent’s insurance agent and became a friend and brother to my father. Later on Geert would drop by our house for a visit which was always a great pleasure! We have such fond memories of him. We will miss him.
