Paul had all the qualities I respect most in a person.... love of family, hard working, kindness, a true leader, and respect. Paul treated everyone the same way whether the individual was on social assistance or the head of state.

My condolences to the family. Mr. House was always a gentleman in our dealings with Tim Hortons, which cannot be said about many others in big businesses. I will always remember one of my early meetings with Tim Hortons at the old head office where the senior officers were on the 2nd floor (not that I was going there) but Mr.House was coming down the stairs and saw me in the waiting room (had no idea who I was or why I was there) but looked at me and gave a genuine welcoming smile and wave. That has stayed with me all these years. Rest In Peace Mr. House.

I will miss Paul a lot as we all will, I am sure.
I worked with and for Paul for many years. It was a pleasure, eventful and a joy. He was a person you never were bored with. I had many meetings with him and introduced him to many people who came away with being impressed and enjoying the time spent with him. The thing about Paul was he was comfortable with meeting CEO's and presidents of very large companies, in the boardroom as chair, or with meeting with franchisees and staff. It didn't matter to him. Everyone was important to him.
He was very family oriented and proud of everyone in the family. They shared so much together. He felt he was so fortunate to have Juliette(Jules) as his wife, best friend and partner. They had so many great times together.
He was a giant in the industry. People like him are one in a million. He was very proud of the Tim Hortons company, the brand and especially the people he worked with.
He had a great sense of humour. I laughed so much, as we all did, when he told one of his stories.
My one wish would be to sit down with him once again for a coffee.
Rest in Peace Paul!
Peter Falconer and family

Dearest Juliet and Family,
My deepest condolences as you mourn the loss of Paul. I miss my Tuesdays with you. Paul always greeted me with a smile and a cup of coffee, and I enjoyed our little chat time before you joined us on the main floor. I loved it when Paul mumbled with disbelief when I stopped him at the door and sent him back outside because the floors were still wet... and he obeyed! He was lovely. May God's love and presence be felt like a warm blanket around you as you continue your life's journey without Paul.
Love Sharon Van Sydenborgh

Struggling to find the right words to pay tribute to a remarkable gentleman and leader, and in honouring his professional & personal accomplishments. There are countless stories of how Paul touched our lives – in micro and in significant ways. He has his thumbprint on some many of our lives. And that is a major part of his legacy – the wealth of relationships he built over his life and his reputation of integrity, being genuine, fair and kind. I truly don’t think we know of anyone else that is collectively held to this level of regard and respect as Paul. For Ed & I, Paul will always hold a very special place in our lives & hearts May he rest in peace.
Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to his entire family and to those Paul cherished closely.

There are not too many people that can silence a room of thousands with just their presence. Many would wait and listen to Paul’s wisdom and clarity when he spoke, as if the world just stopped. He was a true ambassador of the Tim Hortons brand and was passionate about growth, guests and owners. Paul was an honest man, a man of his word and held true to his promises. He was kind, generous and a no-nonsense type of man, who was confident and forthright in business. He truly made the world a better place with his compassion and thoughtfulness towards those he loved. He will always hold a special place in my heart with many memories to remind me of our friendship and a wealth of laughter. Keep smiling Paul and may you rest in peace my dear friend.
Until we laugh together again,

Deepest Condolences to the family and freinds of Paul House
Paul joined TDL at the same time that I became the youngest franchisee at Tim Hortons. Over the years, his folksy wisdom, humility and ability to distill complex issues down to their essential elements and simple solutions was instrumental in the monumental growth and success of the Tim Horton brand. He believed in having a good team that worked hard and had the best interests of the brand at heart.. it is not a stretch to say that the success of the Tim Hortons brand, the many hundreds of successful franchisees and the great accomplishments of the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps would not have happened without him.
One of my favourite pieces of folksy wisdom from Paul was his expression, ‘Find the Pony’. What this meant was, when you are knee deep in crap, you better start shovelling, because there has to be a pony in there somewhere! The ‘Pony’ for me is the many fond memories I have of Paul, the immense respect and admiration he has and the success he brought to so many. Rest In Peace.

Our dear friends; Marnie, Warren and family,
Heartfelt thoughts go out to you all.
A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me”. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again.
Thinking of you all,
Ian, Sara, and Taylor
