I know we all share in the grief of this sad news. My thoughts are with the Hildreth family during this time. May the support of this community and all who knew Jill and her contributions to Lincoln enable her family and friends to get through the next few days and may the memories of her fill and warm your hearts all the days thereafter.
Condolences,
Mike Kirkopoulos

Carole, David, our mothers certainly shared a dear friendship that lasted decades - through raising kids, through serving community, through much that life can give, as well as take away. I know how much her friendship meant to my mom. My first memory of your mom - a Halloween party in your barn, filled with kids and teenagers! What great parents you had, to help you make these happy memories! I know my folks cherished their times with Martin and Jill (and your mom’s Yorkshire pudding :) They really knew how to have some fun together. Jill Hildreth gave a lot to this world, and I know she will be greatly missed. Sharing my deep condolences to all family and friends for your loss - Kim Huffman and family

Hello to Jill's family,
Please accept my sincere condolences. I knew Jill only through the Lincoln Garden Club, where she so ably served as Treasurer. During that time, I looked forward to her reports, as they often included a wry and fun comment---as well as a complete and accurate summation.
A couple of years ago, at the Mothers' Day plant sale, I happened to purchase one of Jill's donations---an unusual sedum. It is growing well, and will serve as a reminder to me of a wonderful LGC volunteer and what she told the group: "I can't garden anymore, but I can do this." That is telling: she continued to serve when she could have rested on her laurels.
Wishing you strength as you negotiate your life's path without Jill,
Lynette Fast

Carole and David, so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. Mom cannot be replaced but will live on in your hearts memories and thoughts. Jill was a great friend over the years and we had many good times together with Jill and Martin. We spent several weeks together in Florida when we used to winter over there. Good memories with good friends.

Jill’s courage and honesty are forever remembered by a grateful Mother whose daughter died. Jill spoke to my hurt and my heart, sharing her truth, explaining in frank and loving way that in the early days of grief nothing much helps comfort us as we sort through our terrible loss. Jill suggested the book, “When bad things happen to good people” but said, it hurts. She shared, supported but most importantly helped me know acceptance was all I could do. Jill went on to encourage and donate to the Brandee Elliott Projects. Thank you Jill, from all the Moms you helped.

So sorry for your loss. My Mom and Jill were the greatest of friends and because of that, I have lots of memories of Jill, especially from my childhood: skiing in Ellicottville, spending time at the house on Greenlane (me playing Barbies while Mom and Jill talked over coffee) and we even spent a couple of Christmases there. Later in my life, she was so kind to host even my bridal shower back in ‘98. She was always a great conversationalist and very passionate about the things she believed in. She will be missed.
