Obituary of Eduard van den Akker

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of my Father and Husband of Shirley van den Akker (my mother)

Eduard will be greatly missed by family overseas in the Netherlands and his fellow residents at Cherry hill estates.

Over the years at Cherry Hill, Ed and Shirley where always visable and active in the community.

Since Ed's arrival in Canada in 1954 he was always gainfully employed as an autobody collision repair technician. He spent a vast majority of his employ at Marvin Starr G.M.C./Cadillac where he was referred to as "Fast eddie and Dr Ed".

Upon retirement Shirley and Ed moved to Vineland and Ed's health started to decline after the passing of Shirley and the effects of his profession began to take thier toll on his respiratory system.

Ed was admitted to the St. Catherine's hospital due to heart complications and passed away on Friday night. There is always more to to retell about Ed and Shirley van den Akker and I respectfully invite their friends to drop in for some light snacks and refreshments plus a trip down memory lane on Friday afternoon at 1.pm at 3915 Primrose Lane, Vineland, ON L0R2C0 Respectfully, Tracy and Barbara van den Akker
