Obituary of Jose Manuel Martins

Martins, Jose Manuel - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved husband Jose Manuel Martins on November 19, 2021 at the St. Catharines General Hospital.

Jose leaves behind his wife Sylvia J. Martins and his two sons Steven and Joseph, two grandsons, Matthias and Timothy, and another grandchild on the way. He will be greatly missed by his wife, sons, grandchildren, siblings and nephews.

Jose loved his life's profession as a baker at the Brazilian Bakery in Toronto, enjoyed watching and listening to the games of his favorite soccer team Sporting CP, and had a love for Portuguese culinary dishes.

Jose was loved by all those around him. Though he has left us, we believe that we shall see him again when we are reunited in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Family and friends will be received at the Celebration of Life service at Harbour Fellowship Church (51 South Service Road) on Friday November 26th at 11:00am.  All COVID Provincial protocols will be in place including the wearing of masks. 

The burial of Jose's cremated remains will be a private event limited to the immediate family of wife, sons, and grandchildren, sisters, brothers, cousins, etc., to take place sometime after the service.
