Obituary of Marcia Dorothy Smith

It is with deep sadness that we announce our loved mom, grandmother and great grandmother Marcia Smith (Chambers) passed peacefully into her Heavenly home on November 22nd at the age of 94.

Marcia was born in Rugby, England, where she met the love of her life and husband of 50 years, Norman Smith.  They moved to Canada in 1952 to begin a new chapter of their life in St. Catharines.  Together they served in the church, growing together in their love for God and people.  They also loved movies and dancing together on Saturday nights. 

Marcia is predeceased by her husband Norman and late brother Alfred Chambers.  She leaves behind her brother Gordon Chambers, children David & late wife Donna Smith, Ann & Brian Gossen, Brian & Nancy Smith, Janet & Art Becker, 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  She has been deeply loved and cherished by all.

As a family we’d like to extend our heart felt gratitude to Tabor Manor and particularly the long-term care staff who cared for our mom during her final days. 

A private family only service is planned for November 25, 2021.
